MOQ requirements

Why do supplement manufacturers have such high MOQ requirements?

FDA-compliant supplement manufacturers must perform third-party testing, generate a Certificate of Analysis per batch, and validate encapsulation or tableting runs before release. These fixed compliance costs — often $1,500–$5,000 per batch — must be spread across enough units to keep per-unit cost viable, which is why most encapsulation facilities enforce a 5,000–25,000 unit minimum.
