How we enforce this policy
Enforcement is automated and continuous, not manual after the fact. Every product listing is screened the moment it is created and again every time it is edited, before it can appear to buyers:
- Automatic rejection. A listing whose title or description matches our prohibited-substance blocklist (illegal drugs, controlled substances, weapons, banned cosmetic ingredients, or research-chemical labeling) is rejected outright and never goes live.
- Manual review queue. A listing that matches a restricted term (prescription/pharmaceutical language, concentration-restricted actives, age-restricted goods, hazardous raw materials, or health claims that require substantiation) is flagged and held for human review before it can be sold.
- Cross-border restricted-item screening. Shipments are screened against destination-country rules (for example EU CPNP and China NMPA cosmetic-registration requirements) and blocked or warned per that market's regulations.
- Escrow-backed transactions. Funds for every paid step are held in escrow and released only after both sides confirm the work was completed as described, which gives us a control point to stop payouts on a non-compliant order.
Listings, formulations, or accounts that violate this policy are removed, and repeat or serious violations result in account termination.
Prohibited — never allowed
The following products and activities may never be listed, sold, or facilitated on AJ Cosmo Labs. This list is representative, not exhaustive.
Drugs and controlled substances
- Illegal drugs, narcotics, and controlled substances, and any substance designed to mimic them (e.g. cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, LSD, MDMA, ketamine).
- Cannabis, marijuana, THC, and delta-8/delta-9 products.
- Gray-market and unapproved psychoactive substances (e.g. kava, kratom, tianeptine, phenibut, poppers, synthetic cannabinoids).
- Performance-enhancing and unapproved diet drugs (e.g. SARMs, clenbuterol, DNP) and controlled-drug precursors (e.g. ephedrine, pseudoephedrine).
- Prescription-only or DEA-scheduled pharmaceuticals offered without the required license.
Unapproved and mislabeled chemicals
- Products labeled or sold as “research chemicals” or otherwise not intended/approved for their stated consumer use.
- Banned or hazardous cosmetic ingredients (e.g. mercury and mercury salts / calomel, lead acetate, chloroform, methylene chloride, thallium).
- Unregistered or unapproved chemical substances presented as safe consumer or cosmetic products.
Weapons and dangerous goods
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and regulated firearm parts or accessories (e.g. suppressors).
- Other weapons such as switchblades and brass knuckles.
Illegal, infringing, or deceptive activity
- Any product or service that is illegal in the jurisdiction where the seller operates or sells.
- Counterfeit goods or items that infringe another party's trademark, patent, or copyright.
- Listings with false, deceptive, or unsubstantiated medical claims (e.g. that a product cures, treats, or prevents disease).
Restricted — allowed only with review and compliance
The following categories require additional due diligence, documentation, and compliance with the rules of the markets they are sold into. They are held for review and may be declined.
Cosmetic ingredients requiring review
- Concentration- or region-restricted actives (e.g. hydroquinone, tretinoin/retinoic acid, formaldehyde donors) — permitted only where compliant with the destination market's limits.
- Cross-border cosmetic sales into markets with pre-market registration requirements (e.g. EU CPNP notification, China NMPA filing) are screened per destination before shipping.
Age-restricted and regulated categories
- Products containing alcohol/ethanol, nicotine, tobacco, or vape components.
- Supplements and nutraceuticals, which must be truthfully labeled and free of harmful or unsubstantiated claims.
- Pesticides and regulated agricultural chemicals, which require appropriate handling and, where applicable, certified application.
Hazardous raw materials
- Toxic, highly corrosive, or otherwise hazardous raw materials (e.g. strong mineral acids, cyanide salts, arsenic) — reviewed for legitimate formulation use and safe, compliant shipping.
Seller responsibility
AJ Cosmo Labs is not the manufacturer, formulator, or distributor of record for any product listed on the platform and does not take title to goods exchanged between users. Chemists, Manufacturers, Clients, and Distributors are each solely responsible for the legality, safety, labeling, and regulatory compliance of their own products — including FDA and any other applicable cosmetics, health, or consumer-product laws in the jurisdictions where they operate or sell.
Reporting a violation
To report a listing or account that may violate this policy, contact support@ajcosmolabs.com with the listing or account details. Reports are reviewed and acted on promptly.
